Fido Fortune
February 2012
In the Fido Fortune project, I coordinated the work of four programmers, managing the production timeline in close collaboration with the project manager and account director. While leading the team, I was also responsible for programming the front-end game in JavaScript, with the team handling the complex e-commerce workflow.
Production Highlights
- Deployed the microsite on a private two-node cluster, engineered to handle over 1 million visitors per hour, ensuring stability under high traffic conditions.
- Optimized the game for mobile play, although sound was disabled due to the limited audio support on iPhones at the time.
- Enhanced the game’s dynamics by adding six light flashing effects (Blinking, Following, Crossing, Pair Blinking, Rotating, Chasing) during idle states to keep the visual engagement high.
- Managed the complexity of overlaying sprites in a 3D visual environment, ensuring smooth animations by carefully optimizing sprite sizes to prevent jerky motion.
